Princess Dining Information
Princess offers passengers flexibility as well as award-winning cuisine with its Anytime Dining program, which gives passengers the freedom to choose a new restaurant and dining time each night. Enjoy traditional cruise ship dining at one of the magnificent main dining halls, or opt for the casual atmosphere of one of the many cafés and pizzerias. For a truly memorable experience, try one of the elegant upscale restaurants, or choose to dine in the privacy of your own cabin with Princess' 24-hour room service.
Main Dining Room Policies: Princess guests are assigned to one of two seatings in the main dining room for their evening meal, early or late. The early and late seating times can vary by ship or itinerary, but are usually at around 6:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., respectively. There is also open seating available from 5:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at one main dining room on each voyage.
Dress Code: With the exception of two formal nights, the dress code is casual. Appropriate attire for men is slacks and a sports shirt (no jeans), while women are advised to wear slacks and blouse, a sundress or a pantsuit. For formal dinners, men should wear a dark suit or tuxedo, and women should wear an evening gown or cocktail dress. Shorts, t-shirts and swimwear are never permitted in the main dining room. Princess has added a third seating to several ships, including all Coral-, Diamond- and Grand-class vessels, and the Sea Princess. This earlier seating will be at 5:15 p.m. or 5:30 p.m., depending on the ship.
Beverage Policy: All beverages except tea, coffee and water are at an additional cost. Juice is included with breakfast. Soft drink cards, good for unlimited soft drinks, are available for purchase onboard.
Special Requests: Special meals are available, including low-sodium, low-fat, low-sugar and vegetarian meals, as well as sugar-free and fat-free desserts. Kosher meals are available on all ships and itineraries. Requests for kosher meals must be submitted in writing 35 days prior to sailing on cruises departing from US ports, and 65 days prior to sailing on cruises departing from other ports around the world.
All dining rooms on board Princess ships are smoke-free.
